Please Join us for Exceptional Care for Children's 7th Annual Spring Gala
April 2, 2016
Since opening our doors nearly ten years ago, Exceptional Care for Children has soared above and beyond expectations and blossomed into a thriving organization and a home for up to thirty-eight inspiring children. But our work is not done yet. With your support, we can accomplish our bold dreams and ensure that children who are medically fragile throughout the region have a place to call home and the opportunity to live out a childhood despite their medical limitations.
As Delaware’s first and only non-profit pediatric skilled nursing facility, Exceptional Care for Children provides transitional, long-term, and end of life or palliative care to children who are all medically fragile and dependent on medical technology for survival. The goal of ECC is to provide these children with an environment where they can put all medical challenges aside and be a kid. This is accomplished in a very home-like setting, outside of a hospital, situated on eight serene acres. This haven features a walking path, pond, and adaptive playground. Each child living at ECC has their very own bedroom, living rooms for unstructured play, educational services both onsite and off, as well as a fully staffed skilled therapy team who work very hard to ensure each child is given a chance to overcome obstacles and achieve milestones.
On April 2, 2015, we will host the Seventh Annual Spring Gala to benefit Exceptional Care for Children. Please consider joining us for this exciting evening that includes a sit-down dinner, large silent auction, live auction, live entertainment, and debut of ECC’s newest annual video. The focus of the Spring Gala will remain an effort to raise funds that will allow us to continue providing our residents with a childhood outside of an acute care hospital.
If you wish to attend as a guest, make a donation to the silent auction, purchase an advertisement in the event program or commit to a level of sponsorship, please contact Exceptional Care for Children's Development Office at 302-894-1001 or visit the organization's website at www.exceptionalcare.org. We hope you will be inspired to help these children reach new heights.
